Intersection Construction
Queen & Barry Street, Yeppoon QLD
As part of a government funded initiative to refurbish the Yeppoon Foreshore/Esplanade, the Livingstone Shire Council engaged JRT to construct an intersection at the Junction of Queen St and Barry Street in the heart of Yeppoon. This project’s scope of works included various components and carried out over multiple small stages which included:
– Demolition and removal of existing pavement, structures & road furniture on the intersection
– Relocation and Installation of existing and new underground drainage.
– Detailed Excavation
– Construction of Pavement & facilitation of variously designed bituminous surfacing
– Construction of Concrete Structures including Kerb & Chanel, Traffic Islands
– Installation of underground Electrical systems and Street Lighting
– Installation of Road Traffic marking and furniture
– Placement of Self-sustaining Trees & Vegetation on Traffic Islands and adjacent footpath verges.

– Installation of Permanent Traffic Signal System at Intersection
– 1,200m2 of pavement construction and bitumen surfacing
– Placement of Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts (RCBC) drainage systems beneath pavement
– Placement of Multiple underground services including water reticulation & electrical
– Installation of Road Lighting
– Construction of Traffic Island Structures
– Placement of self-sustainable Plants & revegetation
