ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re not looking for just another Surveyor. We’re looking for a leader — someone who’s ready to step into a pivotal role, drive quality and precision across multiple major projects, and bring their own systems and ideas to the table.
As the Civil Surveyor at JRT Group, you’ll be the go-to person for all things survey — owning the role across a pipeline of multi-million-dollar civil infrastructure works, including three new subdivisions kicking off shortly. This isn’t a slot-filler role. You’ll report directly into our senior leadership team, shape how surveying is done across the company, and work autonomously while being fully backed by a tight-knit, down-to-earth crew.
If you’re looking to make your mark, take charge of something meaningful, and ditch the red tape — this is it.
WHAT’S ON OFFER:
• Autonomy and ownership – run the survey arm your way
• Be at the center of major projects across Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Capricorn Coast
• Collaborate directly with Directors and Project Managers
• Permanent, full-time position – no labour hire
• Weekly pay, competitive wages and site allowances

• Positive, inclusive, no-BS culture that values initiative and loyalty
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
• Proven experience in a lead civil surveying role
• Strong background in subdivisions, roads, and large-scale earthworks
• Ability to set out, verify, and oversee survey works across multiple live sites
• High-level skills in data capture, QA documentation, and interpreting plans
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset – not just taking instructions but owning outcomes

• Lead the Way in Major Civil Projects on the Capricorn Coast
• Massive New Projects | Long-Term Career Opportunity | Relocation Welcome

• This is a rare chance to step into a key leadership role with a respected, family-owned civil business delivering multi-million-dollar civil projects across the Capricorn Coast. You’ll be in the thick of it - planning, leading, and getting your boots dirty on real projects with real outcomes.
• This is not a FIFO/DIDO role. We’re offering long-term, stable work for professionals ready to relocate to paradise and take charge.
WHAT YOU’LL BE LEADING:
• Overseeing large-scale civil subdivisions and projects from the ground up

• Driving progress across daily operations and keeping projects ahead of schedule
• Mentoring up-and-coming crew and building the next generation of skilled operators
