KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operating a variety of civil construction equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skid steer and rollers
• Performing routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Working closely with the construction team to complete tasks and projects on time and to the highest standards
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
• Providing excellent customer service to our clients and stakeholders
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Minimum of 12 months experience operating within a civil environment, preferably on Road projects and subdivisions
• Relevant ticket or certificate of competency
• Construction Induction White Card
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Current Driver’s license and own transport
• Initiative and be able to work without supervision
• Willingness to work as part of a team, and assist with other duties as and when required
• Physically fit
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test

JRT Construction & Equipment Hire are seeking experienced Long Reach Excavator Operators to join our team in Blackwater, Queensland. In this full-time 7:7 role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of long reach excavators on mining and construction sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate long reach excavators to carry out earthworks, material handling, and other excavation tasks on mining and construction sites
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on excavators to ensure they are in optimal working condition
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate work activities
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or concerns to the site manager
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Extensive experience (3+ years) operating long reach excavators in a mining or construction environment
• Demonstrated competency in the safe and efficient operation of long reach excavators
• Strong understanding of excavator maintenance and the ability to perform basic servicing tasks
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to upholding safety standards and procedures
• Construction Induction White Card

• Coal Board Medical
• Tickets in relevant machinery

WHAT YOU CAN OFFER JRT:

• Minimum of 12 months experience Driving, Civil industry experience preferred
• Exposure on Road projects and subdivision
• Initiative and be able to work without supervision
• HR or MC License
• HRWL - Dogging and VLC License preferred
• Forklift License preferred
